I liked meeting the people at my table, who were very kind and insightful on the discussions we had. I look forward to the upcoming training."

“Seeing dietitians as important partners in the business of healthcare, the Healthcare Business Academy is offering dietitians CEUs to attend their exceptional seminars about the business of healthcare. Last year I had the opportunity to be an affiliate Fellow of this amazing organization. Not only did I learn a lot about issues pertinent to human resources, healthcare policy, and national healthcare trends, I was able to meet and connect with numerous healthcare business leaders in the Rochester area--connections that have been invaluable to my responsibilities as a manager and administrator. I think attending a Healthcare Business Academy seminar makes a statement: I am a registered dietitian interested in the business of healthcare so that I can better serve my profession and grow to my full potential”.

“I think the greatest benefit from the (Fellowship) Program thus far is having the opportunity to meet leaders from other healthcare organizations, especially competitive organizations, whom I might not otherwise have the opportunity to meet. These connections keep the competition in perspective and remind us that we are all working toward the same outcome – better health for our community.”

"This morning’s program was excellent – I think the presenters were among the best I’ve heard at a CTC event. More broadly, I wanted to acknowledge your accomplishments with CTC – you and your team have a done a remarkable job growing and developing the event over the past few years, while consistently providing a great experience. Thank you for the opportunity to hear a diverse group of interesting speakers and creating the opportunity for Rochester’s health care community to connect with each on a regular basis."

“As an IT professional in Healthcare, I sometimes find myself mired in the bits and bytes and day to day responsibilities of my job. The Healthcare Business Academy Fellowship Program was a great way to broaden my horizons. The educational opportunities that were offered were both varied and stimulating, and the relationships I developed with local and national thought leaders encouraged new ideas and perspectives. I highly recommend the Fellowship as an outstanding personal and professional development experience.”

"I want to acknowledge what a wonderful job the three of you have done in bringing the HBA Fellowship Program to the wonderfully professional place it has arrived at. Last week’s sessions on Thursday and Friday were world class in all respects, in my opinion. Great content and student/presenter engagement coupled with excellent meeting management and a great facility combined to deliver an excellent start to the 2017 season.

I had a chance to talk with several students to get their impression of how things were going and everyone had very positive feedback.

I am proud to be tied into your great work and this amazing asset for the Rochester community. Your hard work is paying off in so many ways."

“Thank you for the opportunity to participate in the events last week.  The Cracking the Code morning event was exceptional - each of the speakers provided unique and interesting perspectives on the world of HIT and HIE.

The luncheon that followed allowed for a good deal of discussion on the unique healthcare ecosystem that we have here in the Rochester Region, and opportunities to work collaboratively on a project with ONC.  Dr. Mason was very supportive of such an initiative, and the consensus was that the RHIO should convene a meeting to discuss this idea further.

I would like to act on this idea - while the ideas are still fresh!  Would it be possible for you to forward a list of the people who attended that luncheon (with their email addresses) , so that I could invite them to participate in continuing this conversation?”

“Linda Becker and her team at North Star Network have provided the Fellows with a program rich with Healthcare resource materials and contacts.  The Program sessions take place in a variety of settings across Rochester, settings that inspire innovation, collaboration, and partnership.  The program also has Fellowship representation from across the healthcare continuum and allows for a great deal of networking opportunities.  Every session is packed with a combination of prework, presentations, onsite work and problem solving,  and onsite tours/information.  I am using the information I learn to accomplish today's work and to plan for tomorrow’s healthcare environment.”

“I wanted to thank you not only for the opportunity to present today, but for having the vision to create a forum for our community healthcare leaders to come together to learn how to improve their leadership skills, improve healthcare in our region, and most importantly, collaborating on both.”

“My experience with the Fellowship Program was more than I anticipated. I expected that I would learn about global and local health care issues, their challenges and advances in the health care field. What I did not expect was the greater sense of community that I gained. The program fostered a greater sense of my role as a leader not just in my organization but to the community in which I live and am a part of. I also did not expect that my participation with the Fellowship would continue after I completed the coursework and final project. It’s nice to be part of something that is dedicated to improving our community through the work and engagement of many talented people.”

“The North Star Fellowship Program was very valuable to attend and offered several benefits to my organization. This program is like a mini MBA for Healthcare.

The benefits start with the excellent Healthcare Education materials. These give everyone a solid base of information for cross-functional expertise. Additionally, the personal and professional networking that takes place is very important for future contacts. Finally, the National Healthcare and business experts that you bring in to speak are a bonus for exposure to the broader Healthcare issues and solutions nationally.”

“The Healthcare Business Academy Fellowship Program brings leaders, and future leaders, from within every component of the Healthcare industry (Insurers, Hospitals, Providers, Government, etc.), and across traditional competitors, together to share ideas and discuss relevant issues in Healthcare with the goal of producing leaders that can contribute to the transition and improvement within Healthcare. To me, the diversity of individuals and the willingness and openness to share ideas within the fellowship has been just as valuable as the outstanding speakers that present to us. I believe the Fellows can, and will, have an impact on the improvement of Greater Rochester Healthcare.”

The topics covered in each session are relevant to everyday work. For the first time ever, I have been part of learning experience which focuses on good content, but also addresses how personal health determines quality of output. Self-assessments and small group discussions provide the perfect environment to examine important challenges and opportunities present in our community.

I am very impressed with the insight provided by the speakers. They certainly are subject-matter experts that are willing to share their knowledge. The HBA Fellowship has helped me become more productive at work and to better manage our human capital.
