You are cordially invited to join us for the next in our series of Cracking the Code on Healthcare events. The event will take place on October 25, 2017 and will focus on the topic “Quality and the Patient Experience”.  The event will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton, 1111 Jefferson Rd, Rochester, NY beginning with breakfast at 7:30 AM with formal presentations beginning sharply at 8:00 AM.  The event will conclude at 11:00 AM.

*CPE, CPEU and CEU Credits and CME Certificates are available for eligible populations for this Cracking the Code on Healthcare event.

The October 25th event will include these esteemed national thought leaders:

Dr. Don Berwick, former Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, will explore "Current Healthcare Challenges". For 22 years prior to that, he was the founding CEO of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, a nonprofit dedicated to improving healthcare around the world. A pediatrician by background, he has also served on the faculties of the Harvard Medical School and the Harvard School of Public Health.

Don sees tremendous unrealized potential in American medicine. "Despite our outstanding knowledge base, expert practitioners, and world-class equipment, too many Americans do not have access to safe, high-quality care".

Dr. Berwick will be followed by Dr. Nancy J. Wilson, B.S.N., M.D., M.P.H., Senior Advisor to the Director of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Dr. Wilson will share the latest information on "Quality Measures and Value Based Incentives".  She leads the Department’s work to coordinate the ongoing development and implementation of the National Quality Strategy called for by the ACA to improve the healthcare delivery system, patient outcomes, and population health.

The formal event program will feature a robust Q&A facilitated by Gerald Archibald, CPA, FHFMA, CMCP, Partner, The Bonadio Group.

This knowledge-sharing event seeks to bring attention and focus to healthcare topics that impact our community. It is our intention to provide you with the latest thinking as we continue our journey towards Cracking the Code on Healthcare.
