The October event will focus on the topic “Improving The Patient Experience” and will be held at Locust Hill Country Club in Pittsford, New York.

The October 26th event will include these esteemed national thought leaders:

Dr. Harlan M. Krumholz, MD, SM, is the Harold H. Hines, Jr. Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology and Public Health at Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, CT, and is a practicing cardiologist. He serves as Director of the Yale-New Haven Hospital Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE). He has led research and initiatives to improve the quality and outcomes of clinical decisions and health care delivery, reduce disparities, enable transparency in practice and research, and avoid wasteful practices. He is a member of the Association of American Physicians, the American Society for Clinical Investigation, and the National Academy of Medicine.

Dr. Krumholz will share his thinking and insights regarding Building Learning Systems.

Following Dr. Krumholz, Vicky Hines, Chief Operating Officer, University of Rochester Medical Faculty Group and Dr. Bridgette A. Wiefling, MD, Senior Vice President, Primary Care and Ambulatory Specialty Institute, Rochester Regional Health will co-announce an important community initiative.

Dr. Rachel Brem, MD, is an expert in the field of breast imaging and intervention. She is the Director of Breast Imaging and Intervention as well as a Professor of Radiology at The George Washington University Medical Center. Dr. Brem serves as the Director of the Breast Imaging and Intervention Fellowship at The George Washington University Medical Center as well as the Vice-Chair for Research and Faculty Development in the Department of Radiology at The George Washington University.

Dr. Brem will discuss Precision Medicine and its impact on Breast Cancer detection and treatment.

The formal presentations will be followed by an open discussion with Q&A.

In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month Rochester Regional Health’s Mobile Mammography Center will be located in the Locust Hill Country Club parking lot from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.  The Mobile Mammography Center will offer free*, state-of-the-art breast cancer screenings.  The screenings take approximately 15 minutes.  Our goal is to make screenings more accessible to women where they live and work.  Click here for screening requirements and to schedule a screening.  * Mobile Mammography Center will bill your insurance company

In addition a portion of the proceeds from the October event will be made to the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester.

If a program must be canceled, Bonadio will notify all registered participants as soon as cancellation is known by emailing the address registered. Bonadio will also put a notice of cancellation on its website for courses offered to outside participants. If the program is canceled, a full refund will be issued. If a participant cancels within a reasonable amount of time before a program (more than 24 hours), a full refund will be issued.
