Cracking the Code on Healthcare - June 12, 2015

You are cordially invited to join us for our two 2015 Cracking the Code on Healthcare events.

Our first event is scheduled for June 12, 2015 at Locust Hill Country Club.  The event title is The Game Changers.

Our second event is scheduled for November 20, 2015 at Locust Hill Country Club as well.  The event title is The Future of Healthcare; Connecting the Dots.

The June 12th event will include two esteemed speakers.

Christine K. Cassel, MD, President and CEO of the National Quality Forum, is a leading expert in geriatric medicine, medical ethics and quality of care. Previously, Dr. Cassel served as President and CEO of the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and the ABIM Foundation.

Dr. Cassel is one of 20 scientists chosen by President Obama to serve on the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST), which advises the President in areas where an understanding of science, technology, and innovation is key to forming responsible and effective policy.  She is the co-chair and physician leader of PCAST working groups that have made recommendations to the President on issues relating to health information technology scientific innovation in drug development and evaluation, systems engineering in healthcare, and technology for an aging population.

Our second speaker is Gregg C. Sylvester, MD, MPH, Vice President for Medical Development & Scientific Affairs for Pfizer North & South America.  After obtaining his medical degree from Albany Medical College, Gregg completed his residencies at Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene & Public Health and at the Children’s Hospital of Buffalo. He continued his training with fellowships in Epidemiology (Disease Investigation) at the CDC and Public Policy in Washington, D.C. Gregg has a diverse background in the public and private sector, and has various experience in public health and policy development. He has held a variety of positions as Cabinet Secretary for Delaware’s Health & Social Services and Director of Public Health for the State of Delaware.
