Cracking the Code on Healthcare - November 4, 2016

You are cordially invited to join us on November 4, 2016 for the next in our series of Cracking the Code on Healthcare events. This event will focus on the topic “A Data Driven Approach to Healthcare Transformation”. The event will be held at Locust Hill Country Club in Pittsford, New York.

Far too many diseases do not have a proven means of prevention or effective treatments. Precision Medicine is an emerging approach for disease treatment and prevention that takes into account individual variability in genes, environment, and lifestyle for each person. The Precision Medicine Initiative® will generate the scientific evidence needed to move the concept into clinical practice.

The event will focus on Healthcare Transformation and the impacts of Precision Medicine, its data gathering and infrastructure requirements and bringing these new, personalized therapies to the patient. It will include key note presentations by these esteemed national thought leaders:

Dan Pelino is General Manager, Global Public Sector, IBM. A native Rochestarian, Dan is a recognized expert in public sector and leads IBM's business in the government, education, healthcare and life sciences industries. He serves on the Executive Committee for the Patient Centered Primary Care Collaborative (PCPCC) and on the Board of Directors of the Healthcare Executive Network (HEN).

Harry L. Reynolds, Jr. is currently the Director of Health Industry Transformation for IBM Global Healthcare & Life Sciences Industry. Harry works with providers, payers, life sciences and governments on health policy transformation and strategy. He served as both Chair on the National Committee for Vital Health Statistics (NCVHS) and Chair on the Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare (CAQH) CORE Initiative.

Dr. Thomas Mason is the Chief Medical Officer in the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) which is at the forefront of the nation’s efforts to adopt and leverage interoperable health information technology to improve health and care. Dr. Mason leads and champions clinical oversight of ONC programs and clinical coordination within ONC.

Awny Farajallah, MD, FACP is Vice President, Head US Medical Oncology, Bristol-Myers Squibb. He is a board certified physician with 20 years of combined pharmaceutical industry, academic and clinical medicine career and previous research experience in chronic myeloid leukemia, HIV and Hepatitis therapeutic areas.

The formal event program will feature a robust Q&A facilitated by Gerald Archibald, CPA, FHFMA, CMCP, Partner, The Bonadio Group.

If a program must be canceled, Bonadio will notify all registered participants as soon as cancellation is known by emailing the address registered. Bonadio will also put a notice of cancellation on its website for courses offered to outside participants. If the program is canceled, a full refund will be issued. If a participant cancels within a reasonable amount of time before a program (more than 24 hours), a full refund will be issued.
